WiFi Computer Reception Varies

WiFi computers vary in quality and speed as much as WiFi systems do.

This was a surprise to me as no or very little comparison is on the Internet about the quality of connections for different computers. I had a person within 150 feet of an antenna who complained about low signal strength. It could be the antenna shooting high over the computer, metal on the roof or side walls, or maybe something else. I got my trusty HP Pavilion with wireless built in and paid them a visit. The two computers set side by side had drastically different reception levels. My HP Pavilion had a constant signal strength of 4 of 5 rating. Theirs was at a 2 at best and sometimes dropped to 1. My HP remained connected to the internet the whole time while theirs dropped on and off. They suggested me increasing the signal strength for the weak computers. This is very do-able but then you risk creating bounces off metal objects that knock other users off the internet. These customers through a better understanding are now very happy and using the park highspeed computer hookup.
