Lee's Nature Biography |
|||
Your
guide set up and ran four consecutive annual birding festivals. He
has organized a birding, conservation, and
nature group.
Lee set the mark for developing a birding experience for visiting dignitaries.
Much of Lee’s success is thanks to lots of discussions with contacts
in the birding and nature community. |
|||
His festival experience includes field trips from Falcon
Dam to South Padre Island and Mexico. He also over the years did much of
the seminar choosing and creating. The field trips required in-depth knowledge
for strategizing bird numbers and locations within a certain time frame.
He organized most of the field trips from start to finish including schedules,
transportation, refreshments, guides, locations and occasional lodging.
For Mexico, all of the above plus crossing papers, lodging, food, and individual
medical considerations were developed from scratch. Safety, security, and
health are always in the plan. |
|||
Photography has been a part of his birding life. He has a
large collection of bird, butterfly, and nature photos. Traveling to locations
specifically for photography has put another set of requirements to a more
rewarding nature experience. He has taken this photography interest to create bird and butterfly photography field trips in the Texas and Mexico. February 2008 photography trip to El Cielo Mexico resulted in eight good specie photographs a day. I have worked with the local guide for years to develop skills for photographers of nature. |
|||
He also was one of the founders of an Audubon Chapter. He
realizes the enjoyment of conservation, birding, butterflying, and nature.
Needs and demands on the nature community are never ending in point and
direction. |
|||
Lee was asked to develop a birding experience for President and Mrs. Jimmy Carter. The process took over five months. It was his first time to develop such a trip for a dignitary. And, it was the first multi-day birding trip President Carter, staff, and service had developed too. Birding, lodging, food, transportation, and security were all issues. Read testimonials for a news report of President Carter’s views of the trip. Get President Carter's opinion of his experience at Testimonials. |
