Yes! We are new at the B & B but your host brings twenty-five years of experience in area tourism. She works to give our guests the best the area can offer. The experience covers all the places to see, events, and activities along with meals and parties. Even Mexico travel is covered. Being small, we can give all special attention. This is especially true after handling a 170 site rv park.
Shop and dine South Padre Island  with delicious sea food with views included. Lunch and/or dinner are enjoyable with many choices of food and atmosphere. Many of the stores offer beach ware at discounted prices.
Mexico shopping and dining in close by with Matamoras or easy Progresso: Shopping for curios, cloths, medication, drinks, and maybe a hair cut can work up an appetite. Restaurants offer about any fare you might like and in a price range of your choice. Matamoras is a large town with many cultural, heritage, and historic building to enjoy along with the shopping and dinning. Progresso is a small town built specially for the tourist with everything on the 10 block long main street.
Birding Hot Spots are just minutes away at South Padre Island, Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge, Sabal Palm Center and Sanctuary, Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge, plus Los Ebanos Preserve. Aplomado Falcon, Tamaulipus Crow, White-tailed Hawk, Green Jay, Olive Sparrow, Great Kiskadee, White morph Reddish Egret, Rosette Spoonbills, and many others are almost a guarantee from your host. Make a target bird list for you host to have for you at arrival.
Fishing is just out the back door. The bay offers wade, fly, and shallow boat fishing. Bring your own boat and tackle or go with one of the many experienced fishing guides who furnish the latest equipment and bait. We can help find a guide or even a boat. Deep sea fishing is good in party boats or a deep sea fishing boat. The Texas International Fishing Tournament (TIFT) brings in an assortment of deepsea fish like Sailfish, Tuna, and Sharks.
